Upcoming Release: Madam Noire’s House of Dance

In the first of an exciting new series—one woman’s determination to keep her grandmother’s spirit alive might unearth more than she bargained for…

Laura La Rue is a single mom and high school principal who has spent her entire life in the city of New Orleans where she was raised by her beloved grandmother, and local legendary dancer, Mama Hazel. Her ambition has been the pursuit of happiness since her divorce, which she believes is just within arm’s reach. That is, until Mama Hazel dies unexpectedly, the loss, sending Laura into a tailspin of reckless behavior. The city grieves the loss of the former dance sensation turned dance instructor too, but no one feels the loss as deeply as Laura. The only things she has left to cling to are memories and the dance studio that her grandmother bequeathed her in her will.
Desperate to hang on to Mama Hazel’s memory, Laura decides to reopen the once wildly popular dance studio along with her sister, Evelyn, who, following in their grandmother’s footsteps, is also a dancer. There’s only one problem— no one else in the family, including Evelyn, who just happens to be the other beneficiary of the studio and is coping with her own issues, is interested in resurrecting “old bones”. As a matter of fact, there are some who will stop at nothing to keep them buried. Determined to push forward, Laura takes on her rivals until she gets what it is that she wants. However, this could be a case of “be careful what you wish for” as Laura learns that with the resurgence of a legend comes family drama, sacrifices, and above all, secrets she might not be prepared to handle. Welcome to Madam Noire’s House of Dance.
